Paulownia Wooden Mixing Tub - Maidda

Made from solid 2cm thick Paulownia wood, these mixing boxes or Maidda are great for dough or meat mixing. Paulownia wood is the gold standard for the Maidda. 

Paulownia wood is a hardwood which is lightweight, highly stable and resistant to warping, cracking, and twisting, and does not release any resin from the wood.

Made in Calabria, Italy.

Typically used for mixing dough for bread and pizza, as well as mixing meat for salami. 

The wooden construction remulates humidity: allowing excess humidity to be absorbed, improving both leavening and rolling out. It also improves leavening, thanks to the higher natural temperature of the wood, the leavening process improves in shorter times.
