Pasta Ripiena (Filled Pasta) Class with Pia Gava

Learn the secrets of homemade pasta in this special hands-on class.

In this hands-on workshop, Pia will take you through how to make fresh egg pasta, used to make delicious ravioli and filled pasta. We will produce beautiful flower shaped ravioli, patterned agnolotti made with our gorgeous Japanese, handcrafted wooden moulds and hand-made tortellini for brodo.

In this class learn the techniques to master:

  • 3 different types of filled pasta shapes, using a range of tools.
  • 2 types of sauce   

Following our class, we will sit and enjoy a delicious pasta lunch with a glass of wine!

Bring along your favourite apron and container for any take home pasta - if we don’t devour all during our lunch!

  • Class duration 2.5 to 3 hours
  • You will receive recipes for each pasta dish
  • Get hands on and make your own pasta

Greek Filo Class and Spanakopita Class with My Greek Kitchen – Saturday 20th April

This class is hosted by Niki from My Greek Kitchen.

In this hands-on class, you will learn the techniques and skills to make traditional Greek filo pastry from scratch, then each make a Spanakopita.

Niki will teach you to make filo using the stretch method, using oil/butter. Each person will then take home their own Spanakopita to cook and share with your friends and family.  

Niki will cook up a large Spanakopita during the class, which everyone will eat and enjoy together at the end of the class with a glass of wine.

This class will take approximately 3 hours.

Class Details:

  • Class duration 3 hours
  • You will receive recipes for Filo Pasty and for the Pittes
  • Get hands on and make your own traditional Greek pastry!
  • Bring along your favourite apron. You will be given a tray to bake your Spanakopita in at home.
  • Cost per head $200
  • Max class size 7

About Niki:

Nicoletta (Niki) has been teaching Greek and Greek-Cypriot cuisine for over 15 years.  Her passion for cooking was deebly imbeded from a young age, surrounded by amazing cooks - both grandmothers, her mother and aunts.  She’s passionate about keeping traditional recipes alive and teaching others.  My Greek Kitchen cooking school teaches cooking classes in Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula.
